The Grey HavensIt started out explaining what I wanted, but I guess it turned into a Lord of the Rings poem. The same day I wrote "Father" I wrote this. I want to get away from this place, find somewhere peaceful and more natural then New Jersey. If there was such a place as the Undying lands, I would beg an elf to let me come. Elves love nature and that is my way of life. People in this town don't appriciate it, let alone care about anything but themselves most of the time.Anyway, if you look at the poem, it is basically in Frodo's point of view. I don't want to spoil anything, so that's basically the poem.
FatherI haven't written poetry in about a year now, so being as my first poem in a while it didn't come out terrible. I was really upset 1/4/04 because of my father. He seems to not care about my feelings about what he says. They hurt. Today he said something that make me cry for over an hour and I can't concentrate on my homework because of it. This poem is basically saying how I feel towards my father.
Seorsa Linda Diola LleListen to the swaying of the treesYou can almost hear their voiceThe beloved sound of language unknownFills the untouched, mellow airAdding a sweet sensation to the peaceful woods.Though uncertain are our earsOne thing is clear to us.Dom, they wish to thank youFor all you have doneAnd wish you have a good year. Not only do the trees sing a lilting songBut we fans do as wellA ballad to what your soul has doneAnd showing that hope still draws nearFor nature around the world.Read inside and you will seeThat birds, trees and humans alikeWish you a wonderful birthday. And hope with all our heartsAll your dreams come true.Happy birthday!
